SUMMARY OF POSITION:Responsible for supervising testing Operations and assigns work, instructs and supervises Department technicians. Directs testing of Vishay products in accordance with military, Customer and corporate Engineering an Quality Department specifications.2. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S):DESCRIPTION % OF TIMEReceives and reviews all requested testing prior to delegating testing to test technicians.Reviews military, Customer or test plan specifications, method and limits, and provides quotations of testing capacility, test plans, costs, turnaround and schedules.Maintains contact with internal customers by pone, correspondance and direct interaction, and with Vishay customers by interface with Engineering and Quality Control personnel.Handles all test Technician standard testing problems such as verifying failures and correct testing procedures.Work with the test facilities Engineer on problems involving standard test equipment and the ordering of standard toolsResponsible for expediting testing as needed.Initiates and/or participates in test method or test capacility design improvement on a continuing basis to maintain state-of-the-art product testing or to improve efficiency or accuracy.Caollaborate with procedures and assist in test Engineer to develop and administer training programs and special tests.Establishes test procedures and assists in test method and test requirement interpretation to meet all military, Customer and Vishay internal specifications for testing Vishay products.Directs daily Vishay product testing and interacts with all activities for Test Technicians in the planning and performing of tests. Maintains close involvement with engineers and performance of special test plans for customers.Understand the function and train technicians in operation of all standard tolos and standard test instruments, their proper use and accuracies.3. OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES:DESCRIPTION % OF TIMEMaintain specification in the Test Lab computer files.Provide technical and statistical support for ISO-17025 certification.4. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Education, Training and Experience Required:Education: Bachelor’s DegreeExperience: 1-2 years with supervising Experience.Basic Training: Requires a broad knowledge of a general technical field such as chemical, electrical, industrial or mechanical Engineering chemistry or physics.English: 85% (Able to have a fluid conversation).5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Bilingual (English/Spanish)6. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: specify the number of employees under your charge, budget and supervision responsibilities, sales volume, etc.Supervision of test technicians in their work in itnitiating, performing and preparing results of testing. Responsible for accurate, efficient and cost effective testing of Vishay passive component test samples in the Vishay Dale Test Lab and timely delivery of test reports.7. PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Be specificGood working conditions. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold or heat.
