Lead Analyst will provide analysis to business partners, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations. Lead will participate on cross-functional work teams.**Responsibilities**:Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:Provide financial leadership and support to business partners in FranchiseOwn responsibility for the creation, maintenance, and presentation of budgets to the leadership team. Prepares business recommendations based on in-depth analysis on variances to plan, latest estimates, and prior year resultsPerforms department expense tracking and analysis. Resolves capital spend feasibility using financial models (NPV / IRR).Month-end close responsibilities (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, profit reviews, financialreports, and corporate submissions)Supports company strategy and development by preparing and leading major financial forecast cycles,including assessments to Spend, Headcount, and Manufacturing Variances. Also, find opportunities and risk assessmentInventory accounting including SLOB and Full Absorption calculationsProduct cost support for new product introductionsLead Annual Cost Revision process and support cost estimate for new products.Ensure SOX compliance and support plant auditsAd hoc analysis, gross profit and price/volume analysis, presentations for senior management, enterprise reporting, industry benchmarking and strategic data analysis.Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:Presents monthly financial reports and related analyses. Completes financial planning process. Creates and reviews financial models. Supports senior Anaysts with highly complex research and analysis. Works directly on and improves complex research and analytical projects. Performs department expense and capital budgeting, tracking, reporting, month end, and quarter close expenses and costs. Reviews monthly closing and provides reporting in a timely and accurate manner. Presents ad hoc analyses and presentations for management. Analysis and reconciliation of key Balance Sheet or P&L accounts in support of monthly financial closeEnsure appropriate cutoff procedures take place on a monthly basis for the accuracy of financial reporting.Related journal entries, account reconciliations, system reports and documentation of analysesParticipate in annual budgeting process by developing strategic and operational objectives for the segment that are aligned to corporate and group strategic objectivesActs as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business by teaching financial acumen and concepts to ensure that financial based decision making occurs throughout the corporation.Calculation savings and returns on Cost Improvement ProjectsSupport in preparation of Capital Appropriation RequestsParticipate in preparation and distribution of financial analyses/reports and templates to local and corporate management.Preparation of Direct Labor Variance AnalysisRelief Reporting AnalysisMaterial Usage Variance AnalysisHeadcount reportingPurchase Price Variance reportingFor those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow allCompany guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicableResponsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and proceduresQualifications:University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CMA a plus but not required)Requires (4-6) years related experience is required Cost accountingExperience in a manufacturing environment performing cost accounting duties is preferred.Inventory accounting experience is preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish.Sound analytical and technical skills essential.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.Knowledge of a variety of computer software packages particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and General Ledger.- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, formulas, macros and VLOOKUP functions is preferred.Knowledge of, and experience in, JDE, BtB, EPICOR, SAP is strongly preferred.Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and/or consumer products
