Join us.**About Our Team**The Engineering Data Acquisition and Analytics section is part of Caterpillar’s Integrated Components and Solutions Division. The section supports product engineering teams throughout Caterpillar through the remote collection and analysis of engineering data from Caterpillar products. The section includes both the SuperComm2 Command Center team - our Internet of Things (IOT) data acquisition team - and the Engineering Intelligence team - our custom analytics team.We are looking for an Embedded Product Analytics Engineer who will support our NPI Data Hub and On-Demand Tools data analysis products. In this role, you will engage with product engineers across the enterprise, helping them analyze and visualize the engineering data we receive from Caterpillar products located throughout the world.**Job duties and responsibilities may include**- Writing analysis scripts to quickly reduce large amounts of time-series data into actionable results- Supporting numerous analytics projects simultaneously- Automating the daily analysis of new data- Migrating data analysis functions from on-premise servers to AWS cloud solutions**Basic qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum- One to five years of experience in analytics or engineering- Experience using SQL, Python, and Tableau tools (or similar) for storage, analysis, and visualization of data- Expertise in at least one coding language, preferably Python- Exposure to cloud database technologies (AWS, Snowflake, etc.)- Advanced English- Experience using Lambda, SNS, and SQS in AWS- Basic knowledge of EC2, APIGateway, and Aurora- Experience with Git or similar version control software- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Familiarity with Caterpillar SuperComm2 (SC2) data- Experience with databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, and MySQL- Experience with or interest in mechanical systems (engines, drivetrain, axles, etc.) or Caterpillar machines or engines.**Additional information**The location for this position is Monterrey, MexicoFlexible hours and hybrid remote work is available for this positionThis position may require less than 10% travel**Employee benefit details**Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
