The team is focussing on improving sitewide performance to improve our SEO ranking. In the coming months, we also expect to be working on a new comparison shopping and Search results experience to help our buyers find the right gear for them more efficiently.As a Software Engineer II you will be responsible for helping the team to improve sitewide SEO performance and to implement the new comparison shopping and search results experience. If so, this could be the team for you**What’s this team like at Reverb?**- We are a highly collaborative team that enjoys working closely with our partners, who are SEO experts, designers, and product owners- We are looking to improve our SEO rankings to drive more traffic to Reverb**What does the day-to-day look like?**- Frequently collaborate with teammates based out of the US, including developers, designers, product owners, and domain experts at Reverb- Build and maintain the new comparison shopping and search results pages- Measure, maintain, and improve site performance- Collaborate closely with designers on new site designs, to ensure that the development work satisfies the designer’s vision- Monitor changes in production to ensure site performance- Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.**Qualifications**:**Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are**:- Front-end react skills to develop and maintain the new comparison shopping and search results page- An interest in site performance and SEO metrics- A desire to dig in and tackle interesting problems as we seek to solve old problems, and react to new developments in SEO to improve our SEO rankings- A willingness to learn backend skills as needed to implement changes on the front end or to solve performance problems- A desire to work closely with team members and other collaborators to make the best possible product.Additional Information**What's Next**If you're interested in joining the team at Etsy, please share your resume with us and feel free to include a cover letter if you'd like.
