The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting maintaining compliance with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS / US GAAP / Canada and Ireland) and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role will collaborate with AP / AR / Controller teams and provide insights to improve financial processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries account reconciliations and financial statements. Ensure compliance with IFRS / USGAAP and internal accounting policies. Manage month-end and year-end closing activities. Analyze variances and provide explanations for management reporting. Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of findings. Assist in standardization process and automation opportunities. Collaborate with other finance teams on intercompany partners. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with Government surveys filings and reporting requirements. Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data. Participate in system upgrades or implementations ensuring proper configuration and testing for accounting processes. Qualifications : Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roles. Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements. Proficiency in SAP advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to teamwork bringing support to their colleagues. English level : B2 Required Preferred Skills Experience in multinational companies. Familiarity with Standard Operational Procedures and financial reporting tools.
