Software Engineer – Python/Golang – Kubernetes role at Canonical Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. We have 1000+ colleagues in 70+ countries, with a focus on remote-first work and occasional in‑person collaboration. We are hiring a software engineer for our Kubernetes product team. In this role you will build operators and add‑ons that provide lifecycle management for critical components and a zero‑ops experience for seamless integration into customer Kubernetes clusters. You will work with the latest Kubernetes features and incorporate open‑source best practices into user‑facing functionality, collaborating with industry peers and partners. Location : Remote position available in EMEA and the Americas. What you will focus on Write high‑quality code to create new features Debug issues and engage with a vibrant community Collaborate proactively with a distributed team Work with talented engineers across many fields Work from home with global travel 2-4 weeks for internal and external events What we are looking for in you Experience as a Golang developer and fluency in Python Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or related field A passion for technology and for collaborating with brilliant people What we offer you We base compensation on location, experience and performance, with annual reviews (and more frequent reviews for graduates and associates).
