When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do every day.About the RoleYour TeamTraffic and custom SpecialistLogistic AnalystImport export AnalystCustom compliance specialistWhat You Will Do- Coordinates the scheduling of shipments and notified concerned departments of arrival dates.- Negotiates pricing with domestic and foreign shippers and custom brokers.- Plans and coordinates the importing, exporting and follows through materials and finished products in transit to comply the Company’s requirements.- Supervises the expediting of imports and exports and maintains information on tariffs, licenses and restrictions by U.S. Mexican and other Countries Customs Authorities.- Develops the maquila programs and submits the required reports before the corresponding Government Authorities.- Responsible for the compliance of the shipping system, meeting customs regulations form the U.S. Mexico and other countries.- Maintains the integrity of the shipment system.- Responsible for Selecting, Training, Motivating, Developing and acting as a facilitator to the associates of the Shipping Department.- Supervises and coordinates the activities of subordinates to facilitate the implementation and operation of the Company.- Develops improvement projects with the purpose of optimize the metrics of Material Control, such as inventory turnover, customer service, on time deliveries, etc.- Elaborates Daily, Weekly, Monthly and reports.What You Need- Integrity.- Innovation.- Inclusion.- Teamwork & Respect.- Excellence.5 years of experience in Logistics or customs department.Knowledge in the law and regulations in International Commerce, Incoterms, and transportation modes.Deal with customs brokers, carriers (local and international), forwarders.Communications Skills (oral and written).Logistics routes, parcels, heavy weight, ocean and ground.Analysis capacity,Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency of labor.Knowledge the Maquila program, CTPAT, OEA and ISO.Knowledge the mode of shipments LCL, FCL, LTL, FTL.Cost reductions and savings.English 95% (reading, writing, oral, capable to establish a fluid conversation and presentation, technician languages in logistics terminology).Monthly reports, follow up the KPI of the plant.Establish strategies to accomplish the company targets.What is Nice to Have- Communication Skills (Oral and Written)- Able to plan and organize- Social and group skills- Leadership skills- Initiative- Teamwork skills.- Analytical.- Problem solving skills- Assertive.- Strategic and decisive- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001What Makes You Eligible- Willingness to travel- Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug testAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.What We Offer- This section should have no more than 4-5 bullets- This section is completed by the Recruiter for the Job Posting- Highlight key benefits and perks of for the specific location the position will be basedHARMAN is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action employer.
