Client: Our client is a leading corporation specializing in innovative technology solutions for the insurance industry.Project overview: This project focuses on supporting the client’s long-term transformation by evolving their development process from a traditional setup with dedicated QA engineers to a developer-led model, ensuring enhanced product quality while maintaining the efficiency and reliability of their technology-driven insurance platform.- Position overview: We are seeking a Staff Engineer / Technical Architect to lead and support our client’s transformation toward a developer-driven quality model. In this senior role, you will be responsible for defining architectural strategies, guiding engineering processes, and ensuring high product quality as the client transitions from traditional QA practices. You will collaborate closely with multiple development teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, optimize workflows, and uphold the reliability and efficiency of their technology-driven insurance platform.- Responsibilities: Support several development teams during and after the transition to a developer-driven quality model.- Define and review architectural solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards.- Help design, implement, and continuously improve engineering processes that ensure consistent product quality without dedicated QA engineers.- Advise team leads and developers on testing strategies, automation, and quality assurance best practices.- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to align on quality standards, delivery expectations, and development workflows.- Monitor progress and quality metrics, helping identify and resolve process or performance bottlenecks.- Review code, provide guidance on system design, and ensure adherence to architectural principles.- Requirements: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven experience supporting multiple engineering teams.- Strong technical background in React, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS.- Solid experience in system architecture, engineering process design, quality-ownership models, and automation strategies.- In-depth understanding of SDLC and expertise in team performance optimization.- Track record of developer experience improvements, metrics and KPIs.- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments.
