DESCRIPTIONThis is a reduced-time, temporary, non-virtual internship position based in Guadalajara, Mexico.This role is designed exclusively for university bachelor's degree students currently enrolled in Computer Science or related field, and have not yet graduated.Interns at Amazon Mexico work 6-hour shift per day, totaling 30-hours per week.Software Development Engineering internships at Amazon are based on writing software code and collaborating with a team of tenured Software Development Engineers (SDEs) who guide project deliverables that matter to our customers. In addition to working on an impactful projects, interns will have the opportunity to engage with other Amazon employees on both personal and professional growth, expand their network, and participate in activities throughout their internship.Interns are provided with all proper tools to own their projects and learn in a real-world setting.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Mexico geographic markets. The base pay for this entry-level, reduced-time, temporary position ranges from MXN 16,000 and MXN 18,000 per month.Key job responsibilities- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.- Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.- Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.- Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.- Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.A day in the lifeGDL - Office Address:Av.
