HCGBU is not started from acquisitions in a traditional way, but instead we aim to use “startup” approach and build clean and scalable platform and products.**Key job responsibilities**- Build a best-in-class ML engineering team that delivers results through rapid iterations- Maintain a focus on scalability, latency, performance, and cost trade-offs- Mentor and grow software development engineers (SDEs) to take on increasingly higher responsibilities- Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments. Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment- Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance in a timely manner- Makes decisions based on divisional and business objectives that directly impact results**Preferred Skills and Experience**:- 5+ years of people management experience, managing SDEs- 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning- Developer knowledge of frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.- Experience forming teams and recruiting software engineers and developing their careers- Strong skills presenting technical information verbally and in written reports.**Preferred qualifications**- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline- Experience building large scale and multi-tenant data platforms- Experience working building products and services from the ground up**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
