We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Supplier Quality Engineer based in CC30 Plant, Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua (E-Systems Division).

As Supplier Quality Engineer you will have an excellent opportunity to work in an International and growing environment reporting directly to Engineering Tools & Process Regional Manager.

Your Task will be:

  • Investigate quality issues on components reported at the line, supported by QE, IE, PE, and materials for correct problem description.
  • Gather information for QN Issue, Support from clerk/inspector: Supplier site ID, where-used, trace/pattern information, part history (for repeat issues).
  • Properly word and issue QN, word and issue Lear Alert, contact supplier for notification and containment requirements.
  • Set-up containment where required (Supplier, Plant, Warehouse / DC, customer) at supplier cost/responsibility (Commit supplier, get P.O.).
  • Review Root Cause with supplier for open QN's. Ensure proper tools are used for real root cause determination.
  • Assign Controlled Shipping containment levels 1 and 2 (CS-1 & CS-II) for repeat occurrences or critical issues.
  • Consolidate non-conforming material quantities, request RMA's from supplier and manage approvals / returns.
  • Consolidate quality costs incurred by plant for recovery from supplier. Analyze plant information, issue chargeback, submit to Finance.

To be Successful in this role you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or any related field.
  • 3 Years in similar positions within the automotive industry.
  • Core Tools.
  • Availability to Travel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • English Advanced Level. Bilingual.
