Scopely is looking for a Lead Software Engineer, Web/Full Stack to join our Pokémon GO Engineering team within the Niantic division in Mexico City on a hybrid basis working 3 days a week from the hub. We build products that inspire movement, exploration, and face‑to‑face social interaction. What You Will Do We are seeking an adventurous Lead Software Engineer, Web/Full Stack. The ideal candidate loves to jump into the unknown, clarify ambiguities, quickly learn from failures, and break down vague ideas into concrete tasks. Build and lead a high‑performing, cross‑functional team of engineers, designers, and program managers based in Mexico City. Architect and implement high‑impact web full‑stack features end‑to‑end. Create well‑designed, reusable services and components that can be shared across Niantic’s web applications. Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to ensure the goal of any product is aligned with the delivered feature or service. Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and conduct troubleshooting to ensure uptime for live systems. Collaborate with cross‑functional team members and stakeholders to cultivate strong working relationships, including regular attendance and reliable participation in meetings. What We’re Looking For BS/MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 3+ years of industry experience in full‑stack web development or related fields. Experience mentoring junior engineers, strong cross‑functional collaboration, and leading projects. Proven track record delivering projects involving multiple contributors. Proficiency across multiple domains (e.g. cloud infrastructure, backend, frontend) and ability to learn and deliver products using new technologies. Strong experience with modern JavaScript technologies and frameworks (GraphQL, React, Node). Demonstrated ability to propose, implement, and launch high‑impact features. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle stress, and to solve practical problems while being adaptable to dynamic situations. Experience working in cross‑functional teams, communicating effectively, both written and verbal, including synchronous interactions with others. Fluency in Spanish and ability to travel to Scopely’s global offices, including the US, Japan, Spain, Tokyo, Barcelona, etc. Benefits Bonus Points #J-18808-Ljbffr
