**Role Overview**: As a support engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting other engineering teams to use CAD tools and flows developed by world-wide frontend CAD. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation, providing support to internal teams, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our automation processes.**Key Responsibilities**:- Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes and tools.- Provide technical support and training to internal teams on CAD automation tools and workflows.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in automation processes.- Coordinate issues and initiatives with HW, SW, IT, and EDA engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.- Conduct self-guided research and participate in periodic training to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and incorporating new methods into daily work.- Propose and execute innovative solutions to complex problems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our CAD automation capabilities.**Personal Character Traits**:- **Detail-Oriented**: You have a keen eye for detail and are meticulous in your work, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.- **Analytical**: You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to understand complex systems and identify areas for improvement.- **Resourceful**: You are adept at finding creative solutions to challenges and are not afraid to think outside the box.- **Self-Motivated Learner**: You are proactive in acquiring new knowledge and skills through self-guided research, training, and asking insightful questions.- **Problem Solver**: Over time, you develop the ability to tackle higher-level problems, propose effective solutions, and execute decisions independently.- **Collaborative**: You work well with others, sharing knowledge and supporting team members to achieve common goals.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.- Familiar with Linux operating system- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, GNU Make- Excellent communication and documentation skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- **Plus**: Knowledge in VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) design and verification, and EDA tools.
