If so, we invite you to join our Innovation Team (part of Customer Consulting Group of LSEG) as a Cloud Engineer , where you will play a critical role in bringing our clients' ideas to life.We are looking for someone who is a an expert on either Azure or AWS and has extensive software development skill to design, develop and optimizing cloud-based infrastructures that power innovative applications, which fulfill our client’s requirements.5-point Summary Architect & Deploy Scalable Cloud Solutions – Design and implement secure, high-performance cloud infrastructures across AWS or Azure, ensuring scalability and reliability. Automate & Optimize Cloud Workflows – Leverage Terraform (IaC), CloudFormation, and scripting to automate cloud deployments, optimize performance, and reduce operational overhead. Collaborate & Bring Innovation to life – Work with Architects, Developers, Consultants & Project Managers to develop innovative cloud-native solutions that are built using Design Thinking Approach. Undertake Agile Development & Cloud Governance – Strong experience in Python, Java, .NET or JavaScript while ensuring standard methodologies in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure governance, API integration and governance. Must Have – Certified Cloud DevOps, self-sufficient in coding & scripting, exposure to Agile or Design Thinking methodology What You’ll DoCloud Architecture & Design Architect & Implement: Serve as the Cloud Expert, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for LSEG innovation projects from concept to code. Cloud Automation: Automate data ingestion from existing LSEG products into Azure or AWS databases. Data Stitching: Automate data stitching practices centered around proprietary identifier methodology. Application Development: Build client-facing applications to visualize datasets and enable seamless data exploration. API Integration: Develop integrations for Windows, Linux, and database environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools to automate and manage cloud resources. Cloud Monitoring & Optimization Manage & Support: Provision and be responsible for AWS / Azure cloud resources to monitor and support innovation projects. Incident Management: Diagnose and triage issues affecting client access to cloud-based products. Cost Optimization: Implement best practices to optimize cloud costs while ensuring high availability. Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions adhere to LSEG security policies, infrastructure best practices, and industry compliance standards. Governance & Policies: Implement security frameworks using AWS/Azure policy frameworks and Open Policy Agent (OPA). Day to Day ActivitiesOrganize, execute, and meet development requirements aligned with client demands. Participate in internal and external client meetings, collaborating with consultants and sales teams in the innovation ideation process. Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline and innovate cloud practices that meet client requirements. Client-first mindset with a strong focus on innovation and problem-solving. Embrace a 'fail-fast' strategy to drive iterative improvement and innovation. Required Skills (Must Have)Proven experience (5+ years) in Software development or Cloud DevOps in Financial Services & Banking Sector Programming & Scripting: Strong experience in Python, Java, .NET or JavaScript. Cloud DevOps Certification: AWS or Azure DevOps Certification is a must. Extensive Software Development and engineering experience, with Agile based delivery Collaboration skills with partner teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) is required. Technical Knowledge (Must have)Terraform Expertise: Deep proficiency in Terraform (IaC) — you should consider yourself an expert. Software Development & Code Management: Familiarity with GIT, Source Code Management, Visual Studio, UML (Universal Model Language). API Development: Experience working with REST, RESTful, and SOAP APIs. Development Tooling: Experience with Confluence, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines to track and automate software delivery Desired SkillsDeep data/content expertise and know-how around market data content Ability to explore and understand clients' data requirements to architecture and build the best solution. Experience in any of the LSEG products/solutions is a plus Agile Development: Certified Scrum Developer or equivalent agile certification is an advantage. Experience in Design Thinking based product development Possess a strong understanding of real-time data, quantitative databases, and identifier mapping methodologies. Have a working knowledge of ML, AI, and predictive modeling. Data science background is a plus. Prior experience working with quantitative databases, APIs, and data feeds.
