As a Development Manager of this team, you will:Lead the architecture and implementation of web services

Iterate quickly and ship code frequently

Develop a collaborative environment with your team of 6-8 to make sure their work is greater than the sum of individual efforts

Use your passion for excellent products to ensure your team is delivering high-quality features

Coach your team and empower them to grow in their careers

Research and pioneer the adoption and use of new technologies within Zillow.

Be willing to apply your resourcefulness to problems at every level of the tech stack.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for bonuses depending on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

2+ years of experience in a management or tech lead role with a passion for mentoring and developing the potential of others.

5+ years of experience writing scalable web services, and object-oriented programming for consumer-facing, highly reliable, high-volume consumer tech products.

Strong experience with backend development in one or more programming languages: C#/Java/Python/Go

Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCE, or Azure

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
