You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.There’s never a typical day as a Unix Systems Administration at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.ResponsabilitiesPOWER / AIX platform specialist, Power VM, Power HA.Configuration and Administration of IBM POWER equipment:- Responsibilities will include day to day ticketing and documentation.- Provide technical support to ensure a high degree of customer compliance with SLAs and processes.- LPAR Configuration and Administration- Dynamic LPAR Management- Virtualization of resources- Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.- Maintain and upgrade AIX operating system.- Install and validate AIX OS patches.- Develop procedures for AIX security and management.- Update standard policies in accordance with changes in the environment and audit results.- Develop performance improvement initiatives for the AIX system environment.- Identify and resolve system problems in a timely manner.- Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, and maintenance of AIX system software and related hardware.- Plan and execute AIX projects within approved timelines.- Analyze software and hardware environments to determine any system defects.- Maintain documentation of AIX hardware and software components and user and operator procedures.- Develop data backups and recovery techniques in case of failure, redundancy, etc.- Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional problems.- Perform performance maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability.- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.- Physical Server Migrations- Storage Migrations- Server Management and Administration through the Hardware Management Console (HMC)- Extensive knowledge of LVM- Extensive knowledge in Virtualization management with PowerVM- Extensive knowledge of SAN and LAN- Knowledge in Shell programming- Knowledge of ITIL- Negotiation with Clients on dates and deliverables- Live Partition Mobility implementation, configuration and administration.- Implementation, configuration and Administration of Advance Memory Expansion- Implementation, configuration and Administration of Memory Virtualization- Implementation, Configuration and Administration of SR-IOV- Implementing, Configuring and Managing Clusters with HACMP- HMC/POWER10 Implementation, Configuration and Administration- POWER Server Firmware Updates- Deploying, Configuring and Managing LPARs with vSCSI and NPIVManage and configure the shared storage pool (VIOs)Your future at KyndrylEvery position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career, from Junior System Administrator to Architect.
