We are changing the world with:- Trusted products that accelerate drug discovery, development, and delivery to save lives- Damage-resistant cover glass to enhance the devices that keep us connected- Optical fiber, wireless technologies, and connectivity solutions to carry information and ideas at the speed of light- Precision glass for advanced displays to deliver richer experiences- Auto glass and ceramics to drive cleaner, safer, and smarter transportation**Role Purpose**The Tooling Technician provides excellent support to the Tooling area, repairing high tolerance molds, provide solutions to repair molds by himself, decision making.**Key responsibilities**- Corrective Mold Maintenance- High Tolerance Mold Repair- Mold Construction (Cavities, Cores, Inserts, etc.)- Mold preventive maintenance- EC Implementation- Mold Insert Change- New Mold Check list- Electrical and Hydraulic mold maintenance- Electrical and Hydraulic mold repair Handling of precision tools**Experience / Education Required**- Associates Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background and experiences- Strong mechanical aptitude- Reads blueprints and/or drawings- Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the equipment and processesCorning Puts YOU FirstWe are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.
