You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with Product Management, Development, Data engineering, and operations to develop world-class testing techniques. If this sounds like something you want to do, then we’d love to talk with you.**The Role**:As a Senior Data Scientist, you are passionate about statistical sampling and analytic methods, measurements, and machine learning models. You are responsible for developing sampling and test designs, data and computing tools, and analytics centered on Map and Location quality requirements- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on statistical and experimental design methods for Map and Location quality testing processes- Interpret project objectives and requirements, and create data science solutions and outcomes- Develop sampling plans for collecting Ground Truth to perform map quality evaluation, and to create training data for building ML models- Define & implement statistical quality metrics- Build and test statistical and machine learning models to support improvement of data-driven processes for location-based data evaluation and decisions- Design and develop data and computing tools to enable processing of quality testing data and resultsWho are you?**:Who are you?**- Master’s Degree or PhD required. Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Econometrics- 5+ years of related work experience- Proficiency and understanding of sampling methods and experimental design- Proficiency with analysis and programming in Python and/or R, SAS etc- Proficiency in SQL- Proficiency of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, etc.- Knowledge and experience with using GIS tools for spatial data analysis- Experience with understanding, specifying, and explaining measurement and analytic systems to other teams of data scientists and engineers- Application of statistics in a quality organization or Six Sigma will be a plus.- Team player with good communication and people skills.HERE is an equal opportunity employer.
