Accounting Specialist

About this Role:
Remote position.
Eastern Time availability.
Full-time position.

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a high volume of clients, and has a strong track record in accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform and review bank reconciliations.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Manage vendor payments and ensure timely, accurate disbursements.
Oversee and reconcile bank and credit card transactions on a daily basis.
Process payroll across multiple locations.
Provide bookkeeping support and maintain accurate financial records.
Support businesses with inventory items and multi-location accounting (approx. 15 locations).
Work across multiple client accounts simultaneously with efficiency and accuracy.
Utilize QuickBooks Online as the primary tool; experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
Leverage experience in larger accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, or other ERP platforms.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Safeguard sensitive and confidential client information.

Autonomy & Growth Path:
Initially, this role will report to the current Senior Staff Accountant for structured training and onboarding.
Over time, the expectation is to communicate directly with clients and answer questions related to transactions, reconciliations, and payments.
As the client grows and hires an internal CFO, this position will likely transition to report to them.

Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Accountant, or similar role.
Strong background in bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, AP/AR, payroll, and vendor management.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred).
Familiarity with major accounting systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Ability to handle multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism in managing confidential information.
Must pass a background check (mandatory for this position).
Reliable internet connection, Windows-based computer, and access to a dual-monitor setup for efficiency.
