Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our month-end close process and partner closely with Revenue Operations and Sales on customer contracts, billing, and revenue recognition. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, improving processes, and gaining exposure to the full order-to-cash lifecycle. This search is confidential but we are a SaaS company based in the area with locations in New York, Canada and Europe Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Accounting Operations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare and maintain balance sheet and income statement reconciliations Support audit and compliance requests with accurate documentation Review customer contracts for billing terms, pricing, and revenue implications Billing schedules Assist with revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Billing & Order-to-Cash Support customer billing , invoicing, and credits Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with Sales, Rev Ops, and Customer Success Monitor AR-related activity and assist with reporting and reconciliations Help maintain clean data between CRM, billing, and accounting systems Act as a key finance partner to Revenue Operations and Sales Support deal review processes to ensure accounting and billing accuracy prior to booking Communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders on accounting and billing topics Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ~1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (public or industry)~ Strong understanding of basic accounting principles ~ High attention to detail with strong organizational skills ~ Billing and revenue recognition CRM and accounting systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Stripe, Zuora, etc.) Contracts and billing set up correctly the first time Increasing ownership of accounting processes over time Hands-on exposure to end-to-end accounting and revenue processes Room to grow into senior accounting or revenue-focused roles
