This role sits within the International Programmes team, specifically the CAMCAR, and reports to the Mexico Country Manager. The role provides support to the members in Mexico, acting as key conduit for information flow and for channelling aspirations and needs from members back to Bonsucro. Eventually this role will also support the Head of Region. 

The CAMCAR Senior Coordinator position will help raise Bonsucro’s profile and reputation in the sugarcane sector and among our members and partners in the country. 

This is a key role in strengthening member engagement, recruitment and retention by providing clear communications and responding to expressed member needs. The Coordinator will ensure members feel well supported at a technical level by responding to certification and membership related queries and contribute to raising Bonsucro´s profile and reputation in the country. 

The CAMCAR Coordinator will have a key role to implement the strategy developed by the Country Manager to increase the certified lands of sugar cane and volumes of its derivates. It means liaising with the relevant partners of the strategy and involving on the activities, by traveling, reporting and organizing activities such as workshops, meetings, webinars. | 

Purpose
· Assess and identify the operational programme needs in relation to membership development, engagement and retention and certification of the implementation of Bonsucro's programmes in Mexico.
· Develop and adapt membership growth, retention and engagement strategies to the Mexico context to effectively retain current members and recruit new ones in the country.
· Identify the needs and support the planning and managing of the country annual operational plans and budget.
· Analyze and implement the processes described in the Membership Handbook.
· Implement activities in order to develop the strategy to increase the certified lands of sugar cane and volumes of it derivates
· Periodically analyse programme operations and highlight findings and recommendations to the Country Manager for areas of improvement.
· Assess the delivery of membership engagement and recruitment plans, managing the day-to-day member management processes to ensure consistency and alignment with the organisational frameworks.
· Implement the part of the strategy developed by the Country Manager to increase the certified lands of sugar cane and volumes of it derivates, related to organize activities/meetings/webinars, visit local partners and reporting. · Assess progress against KPIs and construct the necessary reporting to the key stakeholders including the updates and achievements of the farmers strategy.
· Explore local partnerships with key stakeholders.
· Explore how to continuously improve and adapt the strategies and plans for the growth of Bonsucro’s certification in Mexico amongst mills and farmers to strengthen Bonsucro’s presence in the country.
Engagement
· Engage and advise other staff at Bonsucro’s Secretariat to execute the provision of membership programme operations in Mexico and tailor other organisational workstreams to the local context.
· Collaborate with the Engagement & Markets team to strengthen the country membership engagement and communications plans and tools and adapt them to the local context.
· Collaborate with the relevant Bonsucro staff to develop regular reports and communicate internally information updates about the country plans and progress.
· Make the Head of Region and other colleagues aware of exceptions and emerging industry-wide risks and trends.
· Make Country Manager and other relevant colleagues aware of opportunities and challenges emerging in Mexico.
· Advise internal stakeholders on requirements and expectations of programme design and strategies for the Mexico context, in particular on Bonsucro standards implementation, producers and local buyers’ engagement, and other partnership development.
· Collaborate with Country Manager and advise as relevant on the development and implementation of key strategic partnerships in the country.
· Engage, according to priorities, with cross-organisational working groups (e.g. Key thematic issues, Employer of Choice, Data Strategy, etc) to proactively participate in the strengthening of the organisation.
· Engage with a positive organisational environment and act in alignment with Bonsucro’s culture and values.
· Collaborate with communications department to deliver relevant messages, invitations, updates to the members
· Act as as primary point of communication in all day-to-day matters.
· Illustrate the Country manager with the activities of account managing for Mexican members
· Communicate and explain the credibility, relevance, new developments, and lasting value creation of Bonsucro to members, potential members, and stakeholders in support to Country Manager.
· Advise members and stakeholders in the country in relation to Bonsucro’s services and tools to provide consistency and clarity of Bonsucro’s frameworks and value to members.
· Make members aware of and engage with them on the Bonsucro Impact Fund for them to engage with the opportunity and submit high quality proposals.
· Act as the main contact point for local partners to implement the farmers strategy in the country.
· Collaborate in gathering information about updates, advances and challenges of the implementation of the farmers strategy
· Communicate the advances of the implementation of the farmers strategy based on the KIP’s developed by the country manager
· Collaborate in the event planning and organization according to the Annual Operational Plan

Delivery
· Deliver a membership engagement strategy that is able to convey a strong value proposition aligned to Bonsucro’ Strategy 2021/26, including Country Manager insights and approval. 
· Deliver a membership retention strategy to secure targeted new members, including Country Manager insights and approval. 
· Deliver insightsof the Annual Operational Plan for the country and any cross-organisational initiatives as part of the agreed annual delivery plans. Including planification of flied trips, visits and calls. 
· Coordinate the local engagement and/or training events in line with the agreed aims and plans and maintaining Bonsucro’s quality standards. 
· Coordinate and deliver cross-organizational projects in key thematic areas aligned with Bonsucro’s strategic plan. 
· Deliver the workflow of the strategy to increase the certified lands of sugar cane and volumes of it derivates, related to organize activities/meetings/webinars, visit local partners and reporting, and presenting it to the relevant partners |
· Deliver all member-related work in accordance with Bonsucro’s Membership Handbook. 
· Deliver technical support for Bonsucro-certified members, answer technical questions related to the certification system (production standard, chain of custody and calculator), indicators, and how to prove compliance, liaising with the S&A team when further support is needed. 
· Organise the communications and engagement function with members. 
· Assess levels of member expectations and satisfaction and ensure that Bonsucro’s service delivery in country meets these. · Complete satisfactorily, according to the logical framework, the activities described in the strategy to increase the certified lands of sugar cane and volumes of it derivates, related to organize activities/meetings/webinars, visit local partners and reporting.
