Why we're hiring:

WPP is experiencing exciting growth and our HR team based in Mexico City is seeking a Senior HR Coordinator to join them.

You will interact with employees at all stages of their WPP careers. From sending a new starter their job contract to responding to queries from current employees, and partnering with multiple stakeholders making sure new starters have all they need on their first day – your efforts will be crucial to ensuring our employees feel welcomed and valued.

This role would suit someone building a career in HR, who is focused on providing a great employee experience. The role will provide the chance to build relationships with multiple stakeholders across WPP and join a global leader in advertising.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with colleagues locally, leading consistency with processes and data capture
  • Supporting and being the escalation point for US coordinators
  • Ensure the HR database is up to date, ensuring joiners, movers and leavers are 100% accurate
  • Ensure headcount reports are accurate and provide timely standard reports
  • Respond to employee queries coming into the central mailbox in a timely manner and escalate where appropriate
  • Coordinate with local, internal teams to ensure a best-in-class onboarding process for new joiners
  • Provide basic HR advice and support to employees, explaining procedures and policies and escalating appropriately where needed to the HR Business Partners
  • Responsible for regular audits of electronic employee files, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Working with local team members, produce and send letters as required, for example confirmation of maternity leave, contract amendments and flexible working
  • Administer the probationary review time periods and send reminders to line managers.
  • Assist the HR team with the maintenance and development of human resource procedures and policies taking into consideration different business lines and expectations
  • Provide administration and reporting support for the annual performance review, pay review, and reward cycles
  • Support ad-hoc projects as and when requested by the HR team
  • Provide support to US-based HR team
  • Partner with HR Ops team in both the US and UK, mostly supporting and working with the US
  • Provide support for Workday testing and facilitate the smooth transition from Talent Tree to Workday
  • Identify areas for improvement with our current processes. Streamlining and enhancing to optimise efficiency

Who you'll be working with:

The Senior HR Coordinator reports to the People Operations Manager and will liaise with HR colleagues around the globe.

What you'll need:

  • English speaking and writing skills
  • Previous HR Administrative experience via internships or another entry-level HR role is highly desired
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential matters
  • Experience of using a HR system
  • General understanding of payroll processes /or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of both employment law in Mexico and the US
  • Strong administrative & organizational skills
  • Solid PC skills MS Office suite
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work at pace and work to a tight deadline
  • Strong team working and relationship-building skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to use own initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and cope well with ambiguity
  • Prior exposure to international efforts is not at all required, but a major plus
  • Provide support to the existing US coordinators, being the initial escalation point for queries.
