We are seeking a senior operations leader to oversee specialized operations in Mexico related to Alternative Investment structures and pension fund vehicles. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of regulated investment mandates, ensuring full compliance with Mexican regulatory requirements while delivering accurate, transparent, and timely reporting to both clients and regulatory authorities. The position also oversees treasury management, tax services, payroll, and labor matters related to these structures, while coordinating closely with global service teams in a cross-border environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in pension fund structures, fiduciary vehicles, or fund administration, with exposure to CERPIs, CKDs, AFORES, or similar Mexican institutional investment vehicles. Strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of the Mexican regulatory framework (CNBV, CONSAR, BMV/BIVA) are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the administration of Alternative Investment trust structures, ensuring compliance with investment mandates
Manage investment subscriptions, capital calls, disbursements, and cash flow operations
Lead treasury management and liquidity planning for investment vehicles
Supervise portfolio/fund accounting, NAV calculations, and financial reporting
Coordinate audits and ad hoc reporting for clients and stakeholders
Ensure regulatory reporting and disclosures to CNBV, BMV/BIVA, and CONSAR
Support AFORES-related instructions, including committees and assemblies
Oversee tax structuring and tax service delivery
Manage payroll and labor matters linked to trust/fund operations
Act as escalation point for client-related operational issues
Lead and develop a high-compliance, high-accuracy operations team
Required Experience & Skills
~ Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field
~10+ years in fund administration, fiduciary management, or pension fund services
~5+ years leading teams in regulated financial environments
~ Strong knowledge of AFORES, CERPIs, CKDs, and Mexican pension fund structures
~ Experience with fund accounting, NAV calculations, treasury operations
~ Knowledge of IFRS, Mexican GAAP, and tax frameworks
~ Experience interacting with regulators (CNBV, CONSAR, BMV/BIVA)
~ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
~ Advanced Excel; fund administration systems experience is a plus
~ Fluency in Spanish and English
