We’re looking for a hands-on, innovative leader to take the helm as Engineering Manager at our Stucki de Mexico location in Monterrey, MX. This role will lead our engineering function and drive innovation, process improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will champion the development of new products, enhance existing manufacturing processes, and support our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Engineering
Lead and develop a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers.
Foster strong teamwork and collaboration within the department.
Design and improve flexible, robust, and efficient manufacturing processes.
Oversee plant layouts, process flows, and master equipment lists.
Partner with Health & Safety to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Project Management
Lead installation and launch of new equipment.
Plan and schedule plant improvements and modernization projects.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors for safe installs.
Develop capex budgets, ROI calculations, and cost tracking for all projects.

Lean & Continuous Improvement
Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with Operations to drive ongoing process improvements.
Lead Kaizen events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Quality Systems Support
Support activities to maintain AAR activity codes.
Work with Quality to develop inspections, material specifications, work instructions, and SOPs.
Review standards and specifications that impact product quality.

Maintenance Support
Assist in day-to-day maintenance needs.
Support planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
Provide engineering guidance on equipment upgrades, retrofits, and adjustments.

Tooling Support
Collaborate with Tooling on preventive and corrective tooling maintenance.
Support the design and construction of flexible, cost-effective tooling solutions.

Skills/Experience Requirements:
~ Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
~5+ years of experience in a similar engineering management or manufacturing engineering leadership role.
~ Must be conversational with English and able to communicate effectively in meetings, presentations, and cross-functional discussions.
~ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and production systems.
~ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
~ Experience with project management, including equipment installation, capex planning, and ROI analysis.
~ Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
~ Understanding of ISO 9001, AAR Quality Systems, and quality system documentation.
~ Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
~ Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build, develop, and mentor technical teams.
~ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
