Position Summary The Institutional Partnerships Officer plays an important role in ensuring EMpower meets all reporting and compliance requirements for its portfolio of institutional donors. This position manages a consolidated reporting calendar, coordinates inputs across teams, and produces high-quality donor reports that communicate EMpower’s results and impact. The Officer also ensures accurate, timely, and accessible information on EMpower’s portfolio of partner organisations, supporting donor reporting, communications, and strategic planning. The postholder will work closely with colleagues across Programmes, Finance, Development, and Communications teams. Our ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication, writing, and data management skills. They are a collaborative team player, culturally sensitive, and committed to EMpower’s mission and values. They will report to the Director of Programmes, Strategy, and Impact. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Donor Reporting and Compliance Maintain and manage a master calendar of reporting and compliance requirements for EMpower’s portfolio of institutional donors Coordinate the timely collection of narrative and financial data from Fluxx and directly from Programmes and Finance teams to meet donor reporting deadlines. Draft and finalise donor reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with donor-specific formats and guidelines. Support Relationship Managers to ensure donor reporting obligations are met in line with donor expectations and share stories with them to enhance stewardship of institutional donors Track submission status and feedback from donors to support continuous improvement in reporting quality and donor stewardship. Data Management and Quality Assurance Collate, review, and validate data from multiple sources (including partner reports, MEL systems, and programme updates) to ensure consistency across donor reports. Maintain up-to-date reporting templates, guidance documents, and tools to standardise submissions. Ensure all reporting data is stored in a centralised and accessible format within EMpower’s shared systems. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records on partner organisations, including key achievements, impact data, and learning. Ensure relevant partner and programme information is readily accessible to Development, Communications, and Programmes teams. Impact Analysis and Learning Support the development and implementation of systems to measure and communicate donor and grantee impact. Use AI-enabled tools to produce donor and grantee impact analysis and insight reports. Contribute to the development of case studies for donor communications and organisational learning Support the development of impact storytelling systems for grantees Cross-Team Collaboration and Support Work closely with Relationship Managers to align donor reporting with engagement strategies and fundraising priorities. Coordinate with the Communications Team to ensure donor reports reflect EMpower’s voice, branding, and impact messaging. Liaise with the Finance Team to ensure narrative and financial components of donor reports are coherent and reconciled. Contribute to cross-organisational initiatives aimed at improving data use, reporting efficiency, and knowledge sharing. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, VALUES AND EDUCATION Belief in EMpower’s mission and commitment to advancing its values. Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Communications, or a related field Minimum of 2 years’ experience in institutional fundraising, donor reporting, or grants management in an NGO or international philanthropy context Proven experience managing complex reporting schedules and coordinating inputs across multiple teams. Demonstrated experience producing clear, accurate, and high-quality narrative reports for institutional donors. Experience managing data systems and/or knowledge management processes. Strong organisational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent writing, editing, and data synthesis skills with strong attention to detail. Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across geographies and functions. Capable of interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to support reporting and storytelling. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive. Adaptable, solutions-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools such as Asana. Desirable: Relevant training or experience in donor compliance, grant management, or MEL. Experience using grants or CRM systems (Fluxx preferred). Experience working in a cross-functional, global, or multicultural organisation. Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken). Location: This position is remote with candidates ideally residing in Mexico. However, candidates from other Latin American countries will also be considered. Employment & Compensation: EMpower offers competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities consistent with industry standards. The salary range for this position is USD $30,000-$35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
