The Head of School is responsible for inspiring our learning community to be
World Ready through the management of day-to-day operations at the school
The Head of School enjoys learning and serving others as chief executive of
the school and has the authority to carry out his or her responsibilities, by
the direction and policies established by the Board. In partnership with the
Board, the Head of the School is responsible for the school to be an
enjoyable, creative, and innovative learning community. S/he provides
direction for developing the organization's vision, mission, and strategy;
provides leadership for establishing and implementing its annual goals and
objectives; and, enables the Board to fulfill its legal, fiduciary, and moral
responsibilities in creating World Ready students

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

*Educational Leadership:*

* Implements a high-quality, rigorous, joyful daycare, elementary, middle
school, high school program, and after-school program that is consistent
with the School’s mission and vision.
* Sets ambitious school goals for student achievement and performance and
holds staff members accountable for achieving results
* Develops, oversees, and continually evaluates and improves the school’s
instructional model and curriculum.
* Models high-quality instruction and provides frequent coaching for
instructional staff.
* Uses data to inform practice and drive decision-making and instruction at
the school.
* Promotes and provides School Spirit activities for the whole community.
* Embodies and facilitates the practice of our school Pillars and learner
profile
* Ensures innovation of our school practices, concepts, and programs.
* Is a Transformational leader who can train others in inefficient project
management and collaboration that fosters individual creativity and a
group.
* Finds connections to real-life development for all community members to
maintain educational processes relevant and World Ready.
* Shows commitment to personal wellness and establishes good practices for
the community’s health and wellness. • Is an inquirer, curious mind
that celebrates the diversity of thought, abilities, and individuals.
* Is a joyful and grateful person that protects a happy learning
environment.

*Legal compliance:*

* Assures the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitors
compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

*Mission, policy, and planning:*

* Works with the Board to oversee the growth of the school to its full
capacity.
* Helps the Board determine the school’s vision, overall direction, and
short- and long-term goals.
* Oversees the charter renewal and site visit process and development of the
school’s Annual Report.
* Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to the school’s
accountability plan, policies and procedures.
* Keeps the Board fully informed on the condition of the school and all the
important factors influencing it.

*Management and administration:*

* Creates and sustains an environment of mutual respect, high standards,
safety, and learning support.
* Provides general oversight of all school activities, manages the
day-to-day operation of the school, and develops a smoothly functioning,
efficient organization through coordination with the Board, committees,
staff, and volunteers.
* Creates assurances and oversees building management needs and construction
efforts in excellent condition, and compliance with security and quality
standards of hygiene and design.
* Leads recruiting efforts for all staff members. Recommends staffing and
financing to the Board. By Board action, negotiates professional
contracts, and sees that appropriate salary structures are developed and
maintained.
* Evaluates and supervises members of the Leadership Team and supervises
evaluation of all members of the staff, including a self-reflection for
improvement.
* Compliance with school design, look, and quality in written, digital, or
physical representations.

*Governance:*

* Helps the Board establish roles and accountabilities for the Board, its
committees, and members and helps evaluate performance regularly.
* With the Board Chair, develop agendas for meetings so that the Board can
fulfill all its responsibilities effectively. Develops an annual calendar
to address all crucial issues in a timely fashion.

*Finance:*

* Works with the Head of Finance to develop and implement an annual
operating budget based on tuition revenue. • Works with the Board to
ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.
* Operates daily operations in the best interest of the students and
community stakeholders
* Optimizes resources and promotes investments that grow the campus and
curriculum to its best next step in innovation and networking

*Community relations:*

* Encourages the integration of the school within the community by using
effective communication and public relations programs.
* Ensures equal treatment in congruence with school values, pillars, and
respect across the board.
* Acts as an advocate, within the public and private sectors, for issues
relevant to the school, its cause, and its constituencies.
* Listens to students, parents, and staff to improve services and generate
community involvement.
* Serves as chief spokesperson for the school, assuring proper
representation of the school and the Board to the community.
* Ensures the community networks locally, nationally, and internationally.
