Procurement Manager

A multinational FMCG company located in Puebla, Mexico, is seeking its next Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

• As a procurement manager you will be responsible to define and execute the bidding strategy to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of metals, aluminum, plastics, and materials used in the consumer goods industry.
• Monitor and control compliance with established procurement volumes.
• Negotiate agreements and contracts with key suppliers, ensuring favorable conditions and competitive prices.
• Collaborate with the strategic buyer and operations team to optimize the purchasing mix and ensure effective management of the annual spend.
• Apply knowledge and experience in futures hedging to minimize risk associated with price fluctuations.
• Elaborate on Strategic Sourcing (category vision, spend analysis, supply and demand, market analysis, strategy development, etc.).
• Responsible for implementing the Strategic Sourcing process.

Requirements:

• Advanced English
• Minimum of 5 years in multinational FMCG companies.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba (Contract, Sourcing, Network); Auctions.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in strategic procurement management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Experience in commodity management and skills in strategic sourcing.
• Ability to conduct price forecasting and knowledge of futures hedging.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Results orientation and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
