About the role

 

Seeking a Pricing Analyst to elevate our market position and financial success through innovative pricing strategies. This pivotal role demands a blend of data analysis, strategic pricing model development, and collaboration with sales and marketing to drive sales initiatives. The successful candidate will have a history of applying pricing insights to boost profitability and uphold our commitment to Pricing Excellence. Daily engagement with SAP, Salesforce, Tableau/Power BI is expected, alongside creating analytics and dashboards for pricing execution and performance monitoring. You’ll also conduct in-depth analyses to tackle pricing challenges and uncover new opportunities, while standardizing KPIs to track and report on pricing effectiveness in alignment with our business strategies.

 

Your responsibilities will include

 

CoE role specificity

Be a Pricing Partner to a Division and/or Region and Function by Partnering with their Divisional stakeholder in

Divisional Pricing Strategy: 

  • Supporting the definition of Divisional Pricing Strategies and related activities
  • Supporting new product launch plans specifically related to pricing strategies and supporting its implementation in compliance with EMEA Pricing Policy.
     

Reporting, Analytics and Performance execution:

  • Develop analytics and dashboards that support pricing execution & monitoring across countries and franchises under senior team supervision 
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to deep dive in any identified pricing challenge and identify new pricing opportunities.
  • Identify and operationalize core KPIs to monitor price performance according to marketing and commercial strategy and create standardized dashboards to be reviewed on a regular basis (deal execution, ASP erosion, premium price execution, performance vs market)-Analyzing and synthesize data into meaningful and insightful reports.

 

Opportunity Identification & Customer Insights:

  • Leverage process and requirements within the Commercial Excellence practice to improve the collection of precious inputs from the field 
  • Support on identifying emerging trends on competitor performance; reporting on specific price trends

 

Be a Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME) by:

  • Sharing pricing best practices across the organization and ensure solutions already present in the organization are fully leveraged
  • Supporting current and future development of processes and solutions to drive real and sustained pricing performance while complying with EMEA pricing policy.
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to further improve pricing tools and processes, that provide management with actionable information, by gathering pricing business needs, propose, and developing processes and solutions to meet those needs 
  • Training and supporting business partners and pricing team on the use of those infrastructures.
  • Being the go-to person for knowledge on this pricing subject.

 

Division role specificity

Pricing Strategy:

  • Partner with franchise leads and Marketing teams to set up pricing strategy for product and service portfolio (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning), as well as be the link between both Commercial and Financial ambitions.
  • Create Pricing Schemes and Policies for key franchises based on product life cycle (launch, maturity, Phase Out) and portfolio synergies (cross-selling up-selling).
  • Work closely with Country Sales and Marketing to identify pricing challenges, develop commercial price concepts and guidance, and drive local implementation.
  • Partner with strategic organizational resources (HEMA, HealthCare Solution and Partnership) to integrate our key inputs in the overall Value Proposition.

 

Deal Design & tools:

  • Partner with local commercial and marketing organizations to maximize value generation on key deals through a data-driven approach to deal proposal design
  • Develop pricing guidelines based on strategic priorities and ensure correct implementation within the tools used by the sales organization (e.g. price book, approval tools).
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to further improve pricing tools to provide management with actionable information.

 

Reporting & Analytics: 

  • Develop analytics and dashboards that support pricing execution & monitoring across countries and franchises, identifying key behaviors, patterns, and areas for attention.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to deep dive in any identified pricing challenge.
  • Drive usage of pricing analytics across the division, contributing to the education and pricing culture across the division.

 

Opportunity Identification & Customer Insights:

  • Analyze market trends evolution based on existing market data and lead initiatives to expand our insight generation ecosystem to be a key stakeholder in the construction of market scenarios and market models.
  • Leverage process and requirements within the Commercial Excellence practice to improve the collection of precious inputs from the field.
  • Integrate customer-level data to generate insights in a meaningful way to identify opportunities and maximize impact of pricing and commercial strategies.
  • Size and assess pricing & commercial opportunities through strong business cases to optimize investment allocation.

 

Execution & performance review:

  • Identify and operationalize core KPIs to monitor price performance according to marketing and commercial strategy and create standardized dashboards to be reviewed on a regular basis (deal execution, ASP erosion, premium price execution, performance vs market) for key strategic franchises  
  • Contribute to enhance review processes of KPI and performance outcomes with the country leaders to promote and enhance a Pricing Excellence culture within the organization.

 

What we are looking for in you

 

Required qualifications:

  • English: 80%
  • Bachelor's degree or degree on Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, International Business, or Actuarial Science.
  • At least 3 years for experience in similar positions

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Health care ecosystem knowledge
  • Advanced Degree: A master’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field can be advantageous.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications can distinguish a candidate
  • Analytical Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, complex analytics, and scenario modeling.
  • Market Knowledge: Ability to contextualize and adapt pricing strategy via local market knowledge.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience in applying marketing strategy and pricing fundamentals to set prices for new offerings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to report data and propose strategies effectively.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and initiate process improvements.
