Key job responsibilities
The ADB Team needs an experienced Sr. Program Manager to help us build and execute programs to validate the customer experience during the product development cycle. You will work with end users and a wide variety of internal teams to develop the strategy and execute the program to confirm from a customer perspective we are ready to launch. You will be a “hands on” contributor to support and troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and keep the feedback flowing. Along the way, you’ll identify opportunities for improvements and put processes and tools in place to help us scale. You will track, communicate status, and independently drive issues to resolution. Cross-team coordination, program management, and an ability to learn and understand new technologies are essential.
A day in the life
Our programs are global and composed of Amazon employees across the company. We put pre-released devices and/or software in the hands of beta testers who represent our target customer profile ("people all about smart home automation", "people who love to read", or "people who are native speakers of French"). Working with our product team counterparts, we ask testers for “no holds barred” feedback to tell us what works and what needs to be fixed. Our bar is always being raised and we strive to achieve an Amazon 4-Star or better product every time
About the team
The Amazon Devices Beta Team is responsible pre-launch customer feedback for our products. The team is composed of program managers who love technology and devices. Together with product owners, we plan and execute beta programs focused on gathering early customer feedback to help Amazon ship devices and software that delight customers. Our objective is to leverage the voice of the customer to validate and improve the experience and make an informed decision regarding launch readiness.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
