Supplier Quality Engineer

Danfoss is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to Manage and drive the supplier claim handling process for all supplier claims.  Ensure suppliers implement proper containment, identify system level root cause, implement effective long term corrective actions, transfer lessons learned to other parts, and update PPAP documentation.
Engage internal and external stakeholders to implement necessary changes to processes, drawings, specifications and follow through with proper change management expectations as needed to complete the 8D.

• Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.  
• Ensure supplier quality and performance data is available and accurate at all times for suppliers in their category.
• Resolve supplier corrective action requests to system level completion.        
• Ensure supplier understands change control expectations as outlined in the supplier quality manual.
• Ensure that all Quality requirements are understood by the Supplier
• Verify form and content of the PPAP documents meet standards by completing the PPAP checklist and communicate issues back to suppliers for correction."
• Supplier claim handling:
• - Evaluate failures against the part specification and Danfoss requirements
• - Identify if the failure is a recurrence
• - Follow up on claim activities to supplier
• - Control that containment, deviations or concession, corrective and preventive actions are implemented, verified and validated (8D)
• - Facilitate meetings and supplier visits as needed to align and resolve issues
• - Implement CSL 1 at suppliers as needed
• - Ensure supplier achieves system level root cause 
• - Ensure supplier identifies and implements long term corrective actions
• - Ensure corrective actions are implemented across other potential parts/processes at the supplier
• - Ensure PPAP documentation is updated and living (PFMEA's, control plans, etc.
• Maintain an expert level understanding of the global standards, tools, and templates and tie them to Danfoss expectations.
• Train suppliers in the understanding and use of these tools, or engage SDE if further development is needed 
• Follow up and verification of implemented corrective actions.  Verify actions are in place and effective
• Conduct work cell audits at supplier during visits    
• Ensure supplier representatives and management are fully engaged and taking ownership of problems and solutions
• Escalate issues as needed at supplier and Danfoss"
