Responsibilities

Key responsibilities in relation with CIB Mexico (all CIB entities):

Strict compliance with the BNP Paribas Code of Conduct: Display an exemplary behaviour aligned with the Mission, Values and Rules of Conduct covering all 7 angles: customers’ interests, financial security, market integrity, professional ethics, respect for colleagues, group protection and involvement with society.

Support CIB Mexico COO, by having a broad view of his/her priorities, both strategic and functional, and serving as an integrator of work streams. The T&G VP will facilitate the link between the COO and the broader organization.

The T&G VP will support the COO in it’s Territory Management mandate by coordinating project teams, linking local and regional domains, ensuring all transformation initiatives and its progress are well visible to Senior Management allowing their proper steering.  The T&G VP is, accordingly, a key coordination member of the “Project Validation Committee”. On top of this coordination role, the T&G VP ensures consistency between the Bank’s strategy and local teams’ priorities. Additionally, the T&G VP will aid the COO on its responsibilities as, Head of ITO and CCCO, providing support and coordination, supporting the BaU of the Senior Committees (those where the COO is Chairman or committees positioned as transversal/strategic) serving as secretary or key contributor, while coordinating with other Committee’s Secretaries (e.g. Transversal Operational or Domain Operational committees) ensuring adequate motion of those and reaching key deliverables.

The T&G VP role embodies predominantly a support area to the Chief Operating Officer, managing end-to-end projects, coordinating audit activities within the scope of the COO Functions, and providing support to ensure adequate motion of the Corporate Governance defined and structured by Senior Management and supporting the Chief Operating Officer in BaU matters.

Main Responsibilites

Serve as Secretary of Functions strategic committees within the scope of the Chief Operating Officer, and coordinate key meetings around operational strategy. Mexico OpCo Secretary role includes coordinating meeting scheduling and updates, producing main presentation, sending minutes and following up on action items with owners

Provide strategy support, supporting a link between the Bank's operational strategy, adaptation of the operating model and how local teams work

Operational Strategy: Definition, Implementation and Review

Help define a strategic vision and roadmap on all Operating domains: 1LoD to 3LoD

Transformation and Adaptation

Help define a detailed medium and long term strategic operating plan, applied to all the métiers (when needed/ensuring no overlap with metiers’ operating officers) and functions

Help for the operational implementation of the defined operational strategy

Monitor, review (and reassess if needed) the operational strategy

Expense monitoring and business management control: Mexico Office’s Performance Monitoring, in strict coordination with CIB Finance Mexico

HC, project expenses and general budgetary tracking (by provider, cost centre, cluster)

Governance support

Help organizing the semi-annual budget and forecast exercises

Support the links with the wider ITO, Finance and Central Functions community in discussing and coordinating the Territory’s expenses budget

Serve as secretary of CIB Mexico Operating Committee (OpCo), including coordinating meeting scheduling and updates, producing main presentation, sending minutes and following up on action items with owners. Serve as Secretary of other management committees as required.

Day-to-day Support

Provide ad-hoc analysis to facilitate decision-making

BaU support

Mediation with functions and métiers on key topics (operating strategy, operational set up, etc.), ensuring there is no duplication/overlap with other operational and support functions.

Provide support in the oversight of Outsourcing management by having continuous interactions with the Outsourcing Coordinator and ensuring the effectiveness of Outsourcing Management Committee (OMC) meetings and action items

Coordinate regional reporting on behalf of the COO and alignment, coordination of COO Management Forums, Town Halls, Communications etc.

Identify opportunities in process areas, challenging team members to always look for most efficient ways to deliver, leading conversations between teams, and encouraging and facilitating collaboration

Projects and other

In strict coordination with other PMO ensuring efficiencies (no overlapping) serve as Project Manager of CIB Mexico wide projects excluding Information Technology domain (coordination of information from SME and project project experts, locally and regionally for process adaptation, corporate reorganization and medium to large developments) for change-related initiatives; support teams with tools and methodology to properly manage their projects

Transformation, Adaptation and Projects

Provide support for specific key projects

Ensure constant follow-up on project deliverables from workstreams

Key contributor to project sizing phase (budget, resources, etc..) rigorous tracking of projects budgets and financials

Resolve issues and blocking points that do not require escalation

Coordinate with PMO & escalate issues to COO when required

Support the definition and framing of projects (objectives, governance, roadmaps, deliverables)

Provide support and coordination for COO N-1 management in planning, designing, executing, monitoring and controlling project tasks

Secretary to the Mexico Project Validation Committee, ensuring proper coordination of all project teams contributing to the Committee, in Mexico and abroad.

Competences and Experience

·       6 or more years of experience in a business management, strategy consulting or project management

·       Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

·       Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills – proficient with MS PowerPoint and clean/executive deliverables and working documents.

·       Proven success in a project coordination role, with strong project-reporting skills
