MX ATS is a high-powered dynamic team shaping the middle-mile transportation execution and developing innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the Amazon Transportation Network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner, every time.

MX ATS TOM (Transportation Operation Management) team is looking for an Area Manager with strong delivery record, proven ability to drive process improvement, people management experience, and able to motivate reporting team members to meet the challenges of an on-time driven environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with Transportation Execution.
  • Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non-Amazon workers.
  • Audits and ensures compliance to all standard work, WHS, and environmental regulations
  • Accountability to meet and exceed operational goals.
  • Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadership

A day in the life

As part of Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using road and air transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
