DRiV is the aftermarket business group of Tenneco - DRiV websiteGeneral Statement Of ResponsibilitiesThe NPI Buyer will directly report to the Purchasing Team Leader and will act as the primary support by preparing required documentation for NPI development with suppliers. Responsible for driving the RFQ process and analyzing the results associated with the Request for Quote (RFQ)/Request for Information (RFI), working on New Part Introduction and ensuring suppliers meet requirements for price, development requirements and quality.Job RequirementsAssist in the development of new part introduction process and implementation.Manage the current pool of suppliers in request for information processPrepare required documentation for periodical supplier meetings for progressAttend meetings as required to support or represent Team Leader/ Purchasing Manager.Prepare and send RFQ/RFIs for commodity projects.Maintain consistent communication with suppliers to ensure RFQ timelines are met.Interface between suppliers and engineering/operations/marketing to answer any questions related to RFQ documents.Perform financial analysis of RFQ results to determine overall cost competitiveness.Make sourcing recommendations based upon RFI and RFQ results.Problem Solver mindset to accelerate and support the process for a NPI in order to achieve the annual target for launchGood organization to manage information from different suppliersIdentify opportunities to improve timing process for a NPIManage different systems to follow up NPI process according of the product lineEducationBachelors Degree in Engineering / Business / Materials Management or LogisticsExperience2 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement and/or Materials Management, preferredDemonstrated background and proven experience with RFQ processes, data analysis and commodity supportExcellent interpersonal and English communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
