Job Title: Ab Initio Trainee Location: Mexico City, MX Department: Data Engineering / ETL Development Employment Type: Full-Time / Internship Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ab Initio Trainee to join our Data Engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a basic understanding of Ab Initio , ETL concepts , and SQL , and are eager to build a career in data integration and pipeline development. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and testing of ETL workflows using Ab Initio . Support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across various data sources. Work with senior data engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Perform basic SQL operations , including writing queries with table joins , filtering, and aggregations. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and troubleshooting of data issues. Learn and apply best practices in data engineering and ETL development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Basic knowledge of Ab Initio components and architecture. Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline concepts. Familiarity with SQL , especially table joins (INNER, LEFT, RIGHT, FULL). Exposure to data warehousing concepts is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or currently pursuing). Preferred Qualifications: Internship or academic project experience with Ab Initio or other ETL tools. Knowledge of data modeling and data quality principles.
