Job Title: Ab Initio Trainee Location: Mexico City, MXDepartment: Data Engineering / ETL DevelopmentEmployment Type: Full-Time / InternshipJob Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ab Initio Trainee to join our Data Engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a basic understanding of Ab Initio , ETL concepts , and SQL , and are eager to build a career in data integration and pipeline development.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the design, development, and testing of ETL workflows using Ab Initio .Support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across various data sources.Work with senior data engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Perform basic SQL operations , including writing queries with table joins , filtering, and aggregations.Participate in code reviews, documentation, and troubleshooting of data issues.Learn and apply best practices in data engineering and ETL development.Required Skills & Qualifications:Basic knowledge of Ab Initio components and architecture.Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline concepts.Familiarity with SQL , especially table joins (INNER, LEFT, RIGHT, FULL).Exposure to data warehousing concepts is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or currently pursuing).Preferred Qualifications:Internship or academic project experience with Ab Initio or other ETL tools.Knowledge of data modeling and data quality principles.Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.What We Offer:Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals.Opportunity to work on real-time data projects.Career growth in the field of data engineering and analytics.Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
