BU Purchasing Supplier Quality Professional Mission: Manage the APQP process with suppliers to achieve non‑event launches in alignment with OEM and IES specific requirements. Coordinate and manage supplier PPAPs to closure utilizing the supplier portal, engage with the POAE Plant SQE on risks and containment during launch, and manage program changes with suppliers six months after SOP. Deliver on‑time PPAP, on‑time APQP, supplier ppm, and green (non‑event) launches. Responsibilities 1.0 Contribute to the selection of new suppliers and commodity strategy definitionierig Conduct feasibility assessments with potential suppliers prior to nomination (collect technical data and drawings with Engineering Program Manager). Support the nomination process prior to the sourcing committee. 2.0 Manage the APQP/PPAP process with suppliers Ensure suppliers reach PPAP on time with program buyers and the Supplier Program Manager (SPM); develop a supplier risk mitigation plan. Monitor APQP deliverables: feasibility commitment, APQP planning, measurement plans, control plans, product & process FMEA, validation plansSequencing run‑at‑rates, acceptance reports, appearance approval reports, checking fixtures concepts, and R&R studies. Analyze first off‑tool parts and start of part history tracking at the supplier; enforce a convergence process on critical safety or significant fit‑and‑function characteristics. Ensure cascading of OEM and project SC/CCs to suppliers and incorporate them into supplier FMEAs and control plans. Monitor mountability and packaging validation with Plant Supplier Quality Engineer support. Lead run‑at‑rate testing at supplier facility, confirm capacity and capability, and conduct process audits as part of risk mitigation. Submit PPAP status to SPM and Plant SQE via the supplier PPAP‑online application; validate ISARs and report progress for each program and supplier. 3.0 Supplier launch to SOP Prepare incoming inspection (boundary samples, limit samples, instructions) with Plant SQE. Supervise supplier ramp‑up (quality firewall with inspection evidence). Ensure supplier NCNs are generated in SAP‑QM and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Conduct lessons‑learned sessions with suppliers and register lessons in the POAE database. 4.0 Change management Maintain a transparent change‑management process from the program team through to suppliers. During launch, ensure part status (configuration, revision levels FILTER) is maintained at plant and PPAP online systems in agreement with the engineering BOM. 5.0 Supplier development after SOP Support the Supplier Development Leader with program performance analysis and program lessons learned.
