Manager, Business Continuity and Risk Reporting Under minimal guidance from manager, confers with contractors to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority in resolving subrogation and property insurance claims. Coordinates activities of the insurance renewal process. Manages issuance of certificates of insurance. Role will serve as the corporate business continuity management lead and responsible for BCP testing, tabletop exercises, business impact assessments, BCP plan updates, and BCP training. Risk reporting includes producing multiple monthly KPI reports, advanced data analysis, and updating property statement of values. Essential Job Functions Confers with contractors to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority in resolving all types of subrogation claims. Confers with contractors to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority in handling property insurance claims on damaged company property due to fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Directs and coordinates activities of claims handling contractors to ensure claims activity progresses on schedule and within prescribed authority. Maintains claim management data, produces claims reports for internal and external use, conducts claim reviews and audits, and maintains documentation describing related processes, including training materials. Reviews status reports prepared by claims handling contractors and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares claims handling reports for management or others. Confers with claims handling contractors and attorneys and others to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Audits insurance claims and risk management program expenses (e.g., administrative fees, litigation, etc.). Identifies and recommends subrogation and lien opportunities. Coordinates activities of the insurance renewal process (e.g., obtain revenue and payroll exposure data from staff, etc.). Completes insurance applications and keep records of the submission process. Provides training and guidance and assigns tasks to contractors; provides performance feedback on contractors. Manages certificate of insurance program including and oversight of vendor. Develop and maintain an up-to-date business continuity program, including policies, procedures, and plans, in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's operations, systems, and infrastructure. Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical business functions and systems. Own and facilitate regular BCP training and awareness programs to enhance the organization's preparedness and response capabilities. Establish and maintain effective communication channels and protocols to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information during a crisis or disruption. Monitor and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to business continuity management, and make recommendations for enhancements to the program as necessary. Serve as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during a crisis or disruption, providing guidance and support. Lead the response and recovery efforts during incidents, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to minimize the impact on the organization's operations and reputation. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management on the status of the business continuity program. Produce KPI reports on a monthly basis for risk and claims management. Update property and inventory statement of values on a quarterly basis. Advanced data analysis. Assist with risk presentations for senior management. Education & Experience 5 years of data analysis, BCP, and or general insurance experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
