Manager, Business Continuity & Risk ReportingPetco is seeking a Manager, Business Continuity & Risk Reporting to lead and coordinate liability insurance claims management, risk reporting, and related activities to support pet health and wellbeing initiatives.OverviewPetco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. We value purpose-driven work and believe what’s good for pets, people and the planet is good for Petco.ResponsibilitiesConfer with contractors to assign duties and scope of authority in resolving liability insurance claims involving customer injury, emotional distress, injured pets, and related scenarios.Confer with contractors to handle property insurance claims on damaged company property due to incidents such as fires, hurricanes, or earthquakes.Direct and coordinate activities of claims handling contractors to ensure progress on schedule and within prescribed cash reserves.Maintain claim management data, produce internal and external claims reports, conduct reviews and audits, and document related processes and training materials.Review status reports from claims handling contractors and adjust schedules or plans as required.Prepare claims handling reports for management or other stakeholders.Provide technical advice and resolve problems by coordinating with claims handling contractors, attorneys, and others.Coordinate claims handling activities with state regulatory or other government agencies.Audit liability claims and risk management program expenses; identify and recommend subrogation and lien opportunities.Review and approve requests from third-party administrators to increase cash reserves; monitor high-financial-exposure claims and support actuarial reviews.Coordinate renewal activities for liability insurance and maintain submission records.Provide training and guidance to contractors and assign tasks; offer performance feedback.Education & Experience5 years of general liability claims handling experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.Advanced interpersonal communication skills.Strong negotiation skills.Expert-level knowledge of insurance industry practices, including related laws and regulations.NoteCurrent responsibilities may evolve with company and team priorities.
