Associate TS&D Scientist About the Role Position: Associate TS&D Scientist – Mexico City, MEX – Personal Care Market. Based at Dow’s research facility in Mexico City, you will support customer needs by leading the development of new applications and providing technical knowledge on the use, handling and management of Dow products for the personal care sector. In this role you will use your deep technical expertise to support customers, lead innovation projects, and mentor junior scientists. You will communicate with cross‑functional teams, external customers, and industry partners to deliver technical solutions that create value for both Dow and our clients. Responsibilities Implement new technologies, products or applications to address business needs, including test method development and overall testing protocol design. Convince customers, commercial and marketing teams about differentiated technical solutions and articulate how they create business value. Apply the scientific method to solve complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions from multiple perspectives. Manage confidentiality and joint development agreements to protect Dow technology on specific projects. Provide constructive input to project participants, lead technical sub‑teams, and define project scopes. Mentor junior level scientists and technologists. Deliver presentations or reports that distil complex ideas into clear results and proposals; communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. Document work in internal reports, technology manuals, knowledge‑management resources, external reports, and patents as appropriate. Serve as principal author on papers and presentations and present at industry conferences. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field (required). Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred. Minimum nine (9) years of experience in application development and technical support to clients. Fluent English (verbal and written). Availability to travel 20% to 50% within Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. Minimum four (4) years of experience working in the personal care market.
