Descripción y detalle de las actividades POSITION DESCRIPTION : This position is critically important in building and leading a culture of partnership throughout our external Supplier network. Incumbent's chief responsibility is to build and lead a Procurement team that always protects our internal plants from supplier disruptions. This will be done by continuously assessing supply risks throughout our supplier base and by planning proactively to manage those risks. This role is also key in building the business processes that support best practice in Procurement execution and enable us to plan our supplier's capacity changes well ahead of market changes, so that we are faster and more Agile in responding to our customer opportunities. We are on a mission to build a reputation in our market as the most reliable company in product supply and the most agile in capturing market share. This role is a key part of Abrasives NA success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES : This role will lead the Plant Procurement processes for Designated Abrasives sites in North America and will be responsible for: deployment of procurement best practices, deployment of KPI's to drive clear supplier and procurement function accountability; process standardization; so as to consistently meet Committed Plant Production Plans, while improving team productivity. Experiencia y requisitos Strong leadership and managerial skills within a multi-supplier business with the ability to positively influence others and manage change Proven record of success managing a procurement organization with diverse processes and products Driven, inquisitive, commanding, and hands‑on problem‑solving traits Strong computer skills with expertise in SAP and Microsoft Office Applications Passionate about safety with personal accountability and proven ability to drive same throughout an organization Demonstrated experience in good business judgment / decision making, strategic planning / goal setting, problem‑solving / corrective action planning Evident and effective interpersonal and team‑building skills Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in Supply Chain, Procurement / Purchasing philosophies, processes and related technologies Proven ability to plan and implement at both strategic and operational levels Prior success operating in a highly matrix organization Implementer of cultural change who can build a strong organization with emphasis on supply reliability for our customers Demonstrated ability to building teams within, across and through all organization levels Ability to work well under pressure Número de vacantes 1 Área Dirección / Gerencia Contrato Permanente Modalidad Presencial Turno Diurno Jornada Tiempo Completo Estudios Titulo Profesional Sexo Indistinto Disponibilidad p. viajar No #J-18808-Ljbffr
