General Accountant Grupo Prodensa • Apodaca, Nuevo León, México Descripción del Trabajo Main Responsabilities Perform and collaborate in the accounting closing process carrying out specific tasks on a timely manner ensuring the financial integrity of the Financial Statements. Execute project accounting, controlling revenue, cost, work in progress, deferred revenue and unbilled. Execute periodic financial activities including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations, including but not limited to Banks, Accounts Receivable, other current and non‑current assets, Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Accounts Payables, Unvouchered Payables, Payroll, Accruals, Pension, Intercompany and Equity. Prepare any kind of required accruals. Ownership of the balance sheet control reconciliations, including investigation of reconciling items to clear in a timely manner. Work towards resolution of open items partnering with other departments. Research and investigate accounting issues as required. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement variance analysis. Provide financial reports to finance management (e.g., account analysis, balance sheet and income statement flux analysis, reconciliations, ad hoc analysis, etc.). Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal CP & P. Support internal and external audit processes collaborating with the supervision of the area to meet deliverables and address explanations. Identify potential areas for process improvements and highlight to Supervisors and Continuous Improvement Team towards standardization and optimization of processes. Minimum Job Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a mix of audit and accounting. Experience in manufacturing is preferred. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. Strong organizational and project management skills. Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities. The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster. Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills. Bi‑lingual (English and Spanish) – it is a must.
