Twinkl’s mission is to “help those who teach.” We create educational resources that can be used at each step of a child’s learning journey. With over a million editable resources and new content added daily, we offer bespoke resources to meet members’ needs. We support educators and children worldwide, committed to transforming lives through education. Role Overview As a Graphic Designer at Twinkl, you will join a small production team of Teacher Content Writers, Editors, Illustrators, and Graphic Designers to create a wide variety of learning materials that will be downloaded, printed, and used in education settings around the world. During the first 3 weeks you will undergo foundation training on our brand guidelines, design templates, software, and working methods. Once training is complete, you will use InDesign, PowerPoint, and Word to work on editorial and layout design projects, collaborating with qualified teachers who write and check content before it is uploaded. Within Country/Product teams we cover different resource types and age ranges every week. Your specific focus will depend on the team you join; we are looking for someone passionate about education and excited to contribute to a market‑leading business that helps teachers spend more time with children and less time on admin. Day‑to‑Day Work Your day may start with a short video call with the production team to update on what you’re working on, highlight blockers, and review priorities. You will use InDesign, PowerPoint, and Word to create high‑priority resources from the team's backlog. Projects are managed in “Jira,” for which you will receive full training. You may also have regular catch‑ups with your line manager or CPD sessions organized by the training team. Opportunities for growth within the business are available. Responsibilities Have excellent English and Spanish language skills. Strong experience in InDesign. Experience of following brand guidelines. Be able to take on feedback and use it to improve designs. Have an eye for detail, creativity, and imagination. Be proficient at managing workload and meeting targets and deadlines. Care about education and helping teachers and learners globally. Equipment Checklist Twinkl Google account (access to Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, etc.). Adobe account. Microsoft Office. Mouse, webcam (with microphone), adequate working space (desk at least 84 cm across and 70 cm deep). Portfolio Requirements Please submit a reduced design portfolio (no more than 10 pages) on a PDF with your application so we can assess your skills and suitability. If successful in acquiring an interview, we will ask you to present your portfolio. We look for editorial and layout designs such as magazines, booklets, posters, and any heavy‑text projects. Application Process Interested? Send us your CV and a portfolio of your best editorial and layout design work (think magazines, booklets, posters, and anything that involves heavy text). We may contact you to discuss adding you to our Graphic Design pool. When suitable roles become available, we will get in touch regarding next steps. Being in the pool does not preclude you from applying for other Twinkl roles; keep a lookout on our careers page. Requirements Have a degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or a creative subject, or experience in an equivalent field. Good fun to work with others and communicate well. Organised, able to work to deadlines, and manage time effectively. Has a hard work ethic, is passionate, driven, and loves what they do. Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
