Lifecycle, Activation & Email Manager Type: Part-time (contract) Focus: Activation, retention, email strategy, and conversion Role Objective Own the post-attention experience . This role ensures that once someone enters the ecosystem, whether through signup or email capture, they are activated, nurtured, and moved closer to conversion over time. This role is the connective tissue between social, product, and revenue , responsible for turning interest into usage and usage into value. Core ResponsibilitiesActivation Strategy Design, implement, and continuously optimize activation flows for new users. Identify friction points and drop-off moments across onboarding and early usage. Implement behavioral nudges such as: Onboarding email sequences Activation reminders Feature education and product value sequences Think in terms of reducing time-to-value, not just completion rates. Email Strategy & Execution Own email communication beyond one-off blasts, including: Welcome sequences Educational and narrative drips Re-engagement flows Conversion-oriented campaigns Ensure emails are purposeful, well-timed, and tied to user behavior. Coordinate closely with social to ensure message and narrative consistency. Write or oversee copy that is clear, concise, and value-driven. AI-Driven Lifecycle & Content Execution Use generative AI as a core workflow accelerator , not a replacement for judgment. Leverage GenAI to: Draft and iterate email copy faster Generate multiple messaging variants for testing Explore different narrative angles for activation and conversion Speed up experimentation without sacrificing quality Apply strong editorial judgment to all AI-assisted output. Continuously refine AI-assisted workflows to improve speed, clarity, and effectiveness. This role requires someone who understands how to use AI as leverage while maintaining control over tone, timing, and intent. Audience Nurturing Keep non-paying and early-stage users engaged and informed. Build familiarity, trust, and anticipation over time. Segment audiences based on behavior, intent, and lifecycle stage when possible. Ensure messaging evolves as users move through the funnel. Conversion Support Design email moments that push toward: Product usage Feature adoption Paid conversion Collaborate with strategy and paid efforts while maintaining clear ownership of lifecycle communication. Think holistically about how email supports revenue without becoming salesy. Measurement & Optimization Track and interpret: Open and click-through rates Activation and retention metrics Drop-off and re-engagement signals Run light but continuous experimentation on: Subject lines Cadence Messaging and framing Clearly communicate insights on what drives activation, engagement, and conversion. This role requires someone who improves the system, not just maintains it. What Success Looks Like Higher activation rates and faster time-to-value. Improved engagement and retention over time. Clear movement from email subscriber to active user to paying customer. Email communication that feels intentional, helpful, and purposeful. A lifecycle that measurably supports revenue and growth. Ideal Profile Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, funnels, and user journeys. Comfortable with email tools and basic automation logic. Fluent in using generative AI to accelerate execution while maintaining quality. Strategic thinker who also executes consistently. Obsessed with clarity, timing, and user experience. High-agency operator who takes ownership without constant direction. Experience using HubSpot (strong plus)
