Description The ideal candidate will be an experienced lawyer who possesses expertise in a variety of areas of law, as well as intellectual flexibility and versatility, solid business acumen and judgment, and thoughtful, sensitive and persuasive interpersonal skills. This job will entail a wide variety of work supporting the LATAM Legal Team. Department: Finance Location: MEX-Juarez-Plant #2 Compensation: $51,685 – $84,894 / month Key Responsibilities Be an active and commercially minded business partner to the LATAM Teams to continually identify strategic opportunities in intelligent risk‑taking. Impeccable business and risk management judgment and ethics. Serve as primary point of contact for all legal matters within assigned business unit or area. Negotiate, draft, and review an extensive range of contracts for assigned business unit or area. Review marketing collateral, pricing and promotional materials for compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Counsel, advise and train on general corporate legal matters within assigned business unit or area. Ensure compliance with contract management process and other company policies and procedures. Supervise, develop and mentor junior staff in the legal department. Collaborate with global legal team to ensure consistency, efficiency and sharing of best practices. Conduct legal research and assist in other legal matters as and when needed. Confident team player and ability to develop relationships and networks at all levels. Enjoys working in a challenging, fast‑paced and dynamic workplace. Positive attitude. Provide compliance and privacy training. Collaborate with members of LATAM Legal Team to analyze and advise business on complex legal/compliance issues that arise out of its LATAM operations. Protect brands at regional and local levels. Structure and negotiate complex transactions, oversee outside counsel, and coordinate management of litigation. Support compliance and internal audit investigations and projects. Partner with local leaders, HR leaders, HRBPs to provide advice, counseling and guidance to his / her region on company employee/labor relations issues, policies and procedures, and best practices. Coordinate and actively participate in negotiations with unions. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Experience with advertising law, consumer protection laws, licensing and intellectual property laws, contracts, and business law. Ability to think critically and quickly resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Experience with state, national and international privacy laws and regulations, specifically how they relate to marketing and advertising efforts. Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including intellectual property licenses, vendor agreements, and complex marketing technology contracts. Ability to manage a significant workload and diverse teams, prioritize projects appropriately, and work independently. Experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast‑paced environment. Experience providing strategic and pragmatic legal advice in a highly regulated environment. Superior verbal and written communication and analytical skills. 8+ years minimum post‑degree experience, with top academic credentials from a leading law school in Mexico. Admitted to practice law in Mexico. Experience of providing legal advice at a law firm, in‑house, or combination of both.
