This is a mission‑critical role for our eCommerce platform specializing in automotive parts and accessories. The ideal candidate has prior experience in automotive cataloguing, OEM/aftermarket parts lookup, or dealership parts interpretation, and is confident working with TecDoc or similar databases. Job Highlights Hourly Rate: USD 6, the equivalent in your local currency Paid Hours per Week: 40 hours Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 am-6 pm | Melbourne (Australian time) Work Arrangement: Work from home Side note: Since this is a permanent work‑from‑home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process. Responsibilities VIN Checking & Fitment Validation Use TecDoc + our internal PIM to check every order against the customer’s VIN. Confirm compatibility using PR codes, ktypes, engine codes, and fitment notes. Approve correct orders, and flag/annotate mismatches clearly in Linnworks. Order Flow Management Ensure the “Needs Check” queue is cleared overnight so AU CS team can focus on customers. Suggest alternative parts where possible. Standardize notes for smooth handover to Customer Service. Customer Support Overflow (Secondary) Assist with basic enquiries (order tracking, return status, website navigation) when VIN workload is light. Escalate technical or customer‑facing issues to AU team. Tools Used Linnworks (order management) Freshdesk / Freshchat (customer support) Slack (team communication) Requirements Strong TecDoc knowledge – able to navigate fitment restrictions, ktypes, PR codes. Automotive cataloguing/parts interpretation experience (dealership, distributor, or aftermarket). Familiarity with OEM vs aftermarket part numbers. Ability to work independently on AU overnight schedule. Strong written English for notes and documentation. High accuracy and attention to detail.
