We're building out our Mexico City hub and you will be on site as one of our founding engineers. As a Founding Backend Engineer at Jarvio, you'll play a pivotal role in building the workflow automation engine that integrates with the tools brands rely on every day — from Amazon SP-API to Google Suite to task management platforms. You'll be hands-on in designing and scaling an N8N-style system that is reliable, flexible, and production-ready. We\'re building the system of intelligence for eCommerce brands — starting with Amazon. Our platform combines AI, automation, and workflows to help brands grow faster without scaling headcount. Jarvio is backed with $1.8m in funding by leading investors including Accel, Baseline VC, Darius Cubed, Enterprise Ireland & NDRC, as well as senior executives from Amazon, Meta, Target, MongoDB, and Wayflyer. This is a rare opportunity to join as a founding engineer, take ownership of critical systems, and directly shape how thousands of brands operate day-to-day. Responsibilities Build and maintain the workflow automation engine and supporting backend features. Develop and manage integrations with APIs such as Amazon SP-API, Google Suite, and task management tools. Implement FastAPI endpoints, SQS/Lambda jobs, and event-driven processes. Design schemas and manage safe, production-ready DB migrations. Add observability to systems: metrics, logging, retries, and alerts. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in backend engineering. Proficiency with Python/FastAPI and AWS services. Experience working with high-reliability APIs and integrations. Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset. Startup-ready: comfortable iterating quickly and working with ambiguity. Nice to have: Experience building workflow automation platforms or agentic solutions. Nice to have: Experience working with eCommerce APIs such as Amazon\'s SP-API.
