Senior Cost Accounting Manager

Position Requirements Position Requirements : At a minimum, the selected individual must possess the following characteristics : Advanced fluency in English speaking and writing. An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required. Minimum 7-8 years of relevant manufacturing accounting experience in roles of increasing responsibility. Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements. Self-starter who possesses an attention to detail. Team oriented with strong leadership skills. Strong time management, organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment. Ability to multi-task and self-manage deadlines with a strong sense of accountability to manage workload with little oversight. Strong technology skills, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience in a major ERP is required. Experience in Oracle EBS, ARCS and FCCS (Hyperion) is a plus. Position Responsibilities The primary responsibilities for this position include the ability to : Manage and lead the Americas region costing team. Communicate with and direct the worldwide costing team to drive corporate policy and procedures. Oversee the entire inventory accounting and costing process for the Americas region including: Manage all inventory master data within Oracle EBS including item creation, item costing and inventory adjustments. Review internal and third-party inventory location reconciliations. Review work order variance analyses. Preparation and review of quarterly variance analyses and inventory reserves. Preparation and review of month end reconciliations related to inventory accounts. Manage and direct the Americas region annual standard cost update. Manage and direct the worldwide annual physical inventory count. Communicate with all levels of management including the global CFO and COO regarding inventory balances, inventory movement, inventory variance analyses, inventory reserves and inventory costing. Support monthly forecast on inventory and cost. Support preparation of quarterly audit committee presentations. Maintain SOX controls and update SOX documentation annually. Support quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors. Ad-hoc projects. Israel Gonzalez Universal Electronics Inc.
