Diversity is the acknowledgment, promotion and celebration of our differences and similarities.All racial identities, ethnicities, sexes, nationalities, gender identities and expressions, physical and mental abilities, sexual orientations, ages, spiritualities, points of view and socioeconomic statuses can fit in with us.We support individuals from around the world and serve communities affected by disasters with purpose.Response, recovery, resilience and renewal are why we exist.Respect for the value of diversity, inclusion and social justice drives us forward every day.Everyone is welcome_Position PurposeA versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief.The position is full-time and is responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the program to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the projects.Must be, at minimum, a conversational Spanish speaker.Reporting RelationshipsReports to Global Recovery ManagerRoles reporting to position Project Manager, Operations Manager and Community Coordinator, Health and Safety OfficerThe approximate number of repo rts 3-5Essential FunctionsResponsible for the program as a wholeEnsure the overall budget and timeline compliance of the programRecruit and manage an effective staff team to meet the specific needs of the communities affected by the disaster, in communication with the International Recovery / Response Manager and Director of International Response / RecoverySupport the operations and project teams to deliver their specific operational and project targets within the approved time and budget constraintsManage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local staff and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficientlyOversee the delivery of weekly and fortnightly reporting for all aspects of the programContinuously develop the strategic direction and scope of the program, in liaison with the International Recovery / Response ManagerWith the support of the International Recovery Manager, Project Manager and Operations Manager, develop, implement, and review the program's Emergency and Evacuation Procedures, and Health, Safety, and Security protocolAttend Cluster and Working Group Meetings where appropriate and communicate any pertinent information to the International Recovery ManagerSupport training and skills development for staff and volunteers.Provide ongoing support to Project Manager in the implementation of Site Supervisor (Trainee) training matrixOversee and support the Community Coordinator in developing the scope of community engagement and renewal projectsResponsible for developing an overall budget for the program, including financial forecastingReconciling operational and project budgets to meet approved overall program budgetsWe understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers.Perform other duties as requiredTherefore, we require all staff members working in in-person environments (including program staff, office staff, team meetings and program visits) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received all recommended Covid-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.Position RequirementsEducation Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Related Experience : 2+ years experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with All Hands and Hearts.One year of experience in a role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting.2+ years of management experience.Special Competencies / Certifications Must be, at minimum, a conversational Spanish speaker.Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas.Excellent written and oral communication skills and confidence working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office.The applicant needs to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately.Outstanding leadership and delegation skills.Able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.Must have a sophisticated and developed management style.The familiarity of international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP.Working Conditions and Physical DemandsConstantly works in outdoor adverse weather conditionsFrequently moves items weighing up to 40 lbs on work site or on baseFrequently operates construction equipment (table saws, impact drivers, drills, and more)Frequently operates computerFrequently ascends / descends ladders and scaffoldingMust be able to remain in a stationary positionFrequent travelLiving in communal environmentHigh stress situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
