Miba is one of the leading strategic partners to the international engine and automotive industry.Maintenance TechnicianMore than 4 years professional experienceSuccess profileMaintenance Technician repairs and maintains production line equipment, troubleshoot problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Assuming Personal Responsibility and Demonstrating Reliability 6Sense of Purpose 6Openness to Change 7Customer Orientation 10Own Initiative and Perseverance 10Creative Thinking 7Decision-making Ability 6Ability to Deal With Conflicts and Solve Problems 10Ability to Cooperate 7Ability to Motivate 4Empathy 5Time Management 10Project Management 10Conceptual Skills 10ResponsibilitiesP/M engines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, packaging systems, press systems, boilers, refrigeration, chiller, washers, lift trucks, etc.Complete production line change overs based on packaging requirementsTroubleshoot problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Install and maintain PLC’s, Servo motors and drives, HMI’s, robotic assembly equipment etc.Perform high level trouble shooting pertaining but not limited to: PLC, AC drives, DC drives, pneumatics, servomotors and RoboticsFabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment; drill press, welder, etcMaintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintains safe and clean working environment by performing general housekeeping, complying to GMP, SQF, LOTO and safety standards.RequirementsPrior experience working with automated packaging equipment, bottling experience, laser date encoders, shrink film packagers, and multi-reel labelingMust take initiative to quickly troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, air compression, hydraulics, liquid compression, electrical system, and automation system issues as they ariseExperience reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawingsExperience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, diagnostics, electrical systems, refrigeration systems, hydraulic systems, air distribution systemsPhysical RequirementsAt Miba, we believe that diversity generates and drives innovation.
