Job DescriptionThe mission of the Senior Industrialization Engineer - Expert Hydraulic Hoses is to play a critical role in process and manufacturing operations, ensuring that new products, technologies, and engineering changes are industrialized in a scalable, stable, and cost-effective manner.The role leads complex industrialization initiatives and ensures the successful transfer of products into stable serial production. This position demonstrates deep expertise in hydraulic hoses process, critical process parameters, application requirements, process ranges, and product process interactions, applying modern manufacturing techniques and methodologies to ensure process capability, risk mitigation, and consistent product quality.Key targets of the role include achieving launch readiness, process capability and stability, operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and long-term manufacturing sustainability while supporting continuous improvement and global alignment.Product Industrialization & Process IndustrializationDeep expertise in the processes (Mandrel Preparation, Extrusion, Braiding, Cover, Assembly, Curing, Blow out, Pressure Test and Crimping)Manage the industrialization of new hydraulic hose products from design through serial production.Act as the technical expert for hydraulic hose manufacturing technologies, materials, and assembly processes.Contribute through manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and layouts to ensure capability, safety, quality, and cost targets are met.Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) reviews in collaboration with other departments.Product and Process ImprovementSupport engineering changes, providing expert guidance to ensure robust industrialization and minimal disruption to production.Provide expert input and technical direction to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost in collaboration with other departments.Support structured problem-solving activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools (A3, 8D, DMAIC, SPC, MSA).Provide technical expertise to process optimization initiatives such as cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and cost optimization.Promote best practices and technical standards to strengthen manufacturing robustness.Monitoring and ReportingProvide technical oversight of process postlaunch.Review performance indicators ensuring technical adequacy and long term process stability.Identify, assess, and technically evaluate industrialization risks.Provide expert technical support during audits.StandardizationDrive the implementation of standards for hydraulic hose products and processes.Ensure technical guidelines in collaboration with the PPI team.Act as a subject matter expert to train and coach engineers.Support the implementation of new technologies and ensure proper standardization.Additional InformationAt Continental we are committed to building an inclusive and discrimination-free ecosystem in Mexico, these principles are rooted in our corporate philosophy and culture.
